The same thoughts produce the same results.
The same technique produces the same paintings.
Recently I have decided to take on a student for private lessons. He will be starting soon and I have been developing lesson plans. After much research I completed what I intended, for now.
I also started thinking about what I had researched and wondered 'what would happen if...' Value studies and basic primary colors were swirling around in my brain nudging me to take the next step and formulate an idea. It came as the combination...using red, blue, and yellow in four values...white, light, medium, and dark. Using a good black and white reference and patient drawing... all helped to produce this portrait of my husband...my favorite photo of him bundled up, as we took our kids kids to see Zoo Lights on the coldest day of winter!
New ideas produce new results.
New techniques give me endless pleasure.
I am an observer of life and love to paint what I see with watercolors.
